Cornish art by British contemporary artist Diane Griffiths. This painting was my first large beachscape painting. I used a photo, taken with my telephoto lens during Boardmasters to capture the overall structure, with the sea flowing in from the top right-hand corner. I wanted to portray the patterns of the waves and the wet sand as one wave exits and another takes over. Acrylic, oil and enamel on 80x80cm canvas with painted sides.
