I think you've managed that fleecy feel really well and it's a great portrait with lots of emotion

Excellent work Malcom, it's a great portrait

You have done a marvellous job of this Malcolm. I particularly like her expression of outrage.

Beautiful painting, something to treasure in later years. Grandpas and grandad often get it wrong.

Love this. Can just imagine her saying it. A picture to treasure.

No, not beyond you, it's definitely got the soft feel of the material. I had a little laugh at the title, we've all put our foot in it - I underestimated my grandson when he was dressed as Dracula, I said, " ooh, scary!"He replied, rather witheringly, " It's not REAL!"

Great foreshortening? Brilliantly done Malcolm. Cute little grey horse granddaughter :)

Granddaughter's first Nativity Play at nursery. "I NOT donkey, Grandpa. I grey horse!" - of course, silly grandpa should have known. Derwent drawing and Lightfast pencils on Mi-tientes pastel paper. Trying to blend all the colours making up the grey whilst retaining an impression of the texture of the material was a challenge - beyond my current capability, I'm afraid.
