nice ,lovely work .,nice contrasts and the distance haze is a good way of doing it .I like that . could I ask what paper make you like to use

A very unusual painting; I wonder if you've been inspired by J F Dowden.... (whose work I don't actually like very much, but if you've used his methods, you haven't used his garish palette!). Confident brush work, brave treatment of an interesting phenomenon in the countryside.

Hi Alan Thanks for your lovely comments, much appreciated. I always use Arches 300 gsm Rough paper as I find I can use the "tooth" for texture effects, but also get a lovely transition effect when wet in wet is used. I always stretch it first as it does get quite a soaking sometimes when painting skies and water. Graham.
