Your seascapes are great and always a pleasure to look at. Do you now prefer water mixable oils to standard oil paints? If so, are they easier to handle?

Thanks very much Pat. Yes I do prefer them now. Generally used 'neat' from the tube but occassionally I add Painting Medium. No smells, quick and easy wash up and rinsing of brushes between colours in plain water. Touch dry in a few days mostly. However, you do NOT add water to the paint at all like you do with watercolours....the water is strictly for washing brushes only. If my brushes do get a little hard if left dry for a few days, a quick rinse in white spirit softens them and cleans them up like new.

Fantastic water and a beautiful wave Graham, this has turned out very well!

Wow Graham this is stunning! The wave foam is very well done too. I use the water mixable oils, I wouldn't go back to standard oils. They are so easy to use and as my art room is one of the bedrooms, there is no odour.

The fascination of capturing a translucent wave...never fails to excite me. Still sometimes infuriates me!! Water mixable oil on canvas 100 x 75cm
