This a collograph print that has been tinted and embelished with gold leaf. The original drawing was done 'en plein air' and then cut into a board to make the plate. My aim was to create the feeling of space and sky in the place rather than total realism. The texture and shape of the rocks were a particulary interesting aspect of the area I was working in and these seemed to take to the collograph process very well.
