This is a painting of my youngest son, I started it just before he left home for university. Before painting I collaged the canvas with all the exam papers and prospectus that he had deposited all over the house prior to doing his A levels. I wanted to capture something of the potential he has that was about to be launched upon the adult world. The piece took a long time to complete because he was away but he eventually agreed to sit for long enough for me to get it finished.
