Lovely squirrel Glennis, nice fur and expression

Really well done, that fur looks beautiful Glennis.

Really lovely piece, Glennis. Love the fur, it really looks fluffly.

A cute little chap, Glennis, my advice, keep at it with the velour it is brilliant for animals and you can keep adding layers and rub as hard as you like on the surface. I find Faber polychromos as a hard pastel and Ashby's soft the best. Ok I'm a Vic Bearcroft fan, but they really do work well with practice. No need for fixative either.

Thanks for all the comments. Rick, thank you for the advice. I have Ashby soft but used Pitt pastel pencils for the detail. What about framing is it as normal attach to mount and under glass? It feels more like a cloth than a paper - so perhaps needs to be treated differently.

Tried Velour Pastel - not sure whether I like it or not, it's different.
