Lovely sensitive study Glennis. He does have a bit of a refined look about him.

Once upon a time, long long ago, Ade - whose surname has just helpfully escaped me ... Brownlow! - painted his greyhounds; and I asked if their snouts really were that long. And now having met a few greyhounds, I see he was right, and so are you - Ade called them Needlenoses. Fine portrait, in watercolour pencil - do these dogs have another name, by the way? I'm afraid I sold my Observers' Book of Dogs a while ago (stupidly!) but is Borzoi another name, or is that a different breed altogether?

Beautiful portrait. I love greyhounds but for some peculiar reason have just acquired another Rottweiler. I'm still wondering what happened. However, this is a lovely picture of a beautiful dog.

Beautiful, sensitive and elegant Glennis.

Robert you are right it is Borzio but I couldn't think of the correct spelling so played safe with Russian Greyhound. They really are a beautiful breed.

Really good I so like your animals!:)Linda

Fantastic Glennis! A winner.

Painted in dry watercolour pencil on pastel paper I am not familiar with this breed but such a gentle and regal look about him. Photo Ref: Klaus
