Hydrangea Head in watercolour. I have painted one similar but wanted to put this in a round mount.

Lovely and appealing as always Glennis.

Staggeringly beautiful, Glennis!

Love the transition of washes and the dark accents which emphasize the turning of the petals. Beautifully done, Glennis!

How do you do this Glennis! It is beautiful!

How long does something like this take Glennis,? It looks so detailed and intricate, very beautiful!

Very pretty and appealing in its simplicity (though I know they are not simple to paint). Lovely

Thank you for the comments, much appreciated. In answer to your question Christine, probably about 8 hours work in total, after letting the washes dry completely before adding another layer.

A very accomplished work Glennis - great!

Great idea Glennis, lovely colours.

Stunning Glennis!

I am rapidly becoming a fan of your flower paintings Glennis. Beautiful array of realistic colours in the Hydrangea, one of my favourite flowers.
