I think this is the best of your flower paintings. It's so 3 dimensional I could reach out and pick one. I hate doing backgrounds. This is lovely. Can you remember what colours you used to get that lovely soft turquoisy grey?

Thank you for your comments much appreciated. Diana, I used transparent turquoise Daler Rowney and just mixed with aliz crimson and some orange. To be honest it was just on the white plate and dipped into what colour I thought would produce a soft grey. The main colour was the transparent turquoise and the rest 'trial and error', glad you liked it, backgrounds are a nightmare for me, I never get the colours strong enough in the first wash. Practice might make perfect one day!

This one and your latest 'primrose' one are excellent!
