lovely colours Glennis beautifull

Agreed, lovely botanical painting Glennis

Love your botanical work, Glennis how do you achieve your backgrounds? What paper do you use? As your washes, if it is a wash are excellent on all your work. Love to know.

Thank you for your comments. Peter - I am not fond of backgrounds as you know (mainly because I think it is better to put them in first. This is just a very pale wash, wet in wet. The colours on the flowers were cobalt violet which tends to be grainy but suited its purpose on this flower. Cobalt blue mixed with a little ultramarine for the blue and I also added some translucent turquoise. The paper is Arches hot pressed, 300 grms

Beautigul colours Glennis, very well chosen for this beautiful flower.

I think those are my favourite colours and just perfect for this lovely delphinium.

Delicate, superb colour, lovely

Only just found this one - a real charmer Glennis

Thank you so much for your comments

Unusual coloured flower but thought it would look good painted, a challenge.
