What a lovely view to start the day, very atmospheric, Glennis. Love the dark tree against the beautiful coloured sky. Well done!

How lovely to wake up to that scene. I love the colours in the sky and I think the ink in the branches has given more definition to the tree. I like it alot.

Sunrises/sunsets are so difficult to do Glennis but you've done a fantastic job on this one. It's a lovely painting.

Pretty sky colours, great blend of washes.

Lovely work Denise - what a great view

Nice change Glennis.Looks lovely

Very adventurous sky which works very well. I like the dark trees silhouetted against the sky. Very striking painting.

Well done Glennis, lovely sky.

Very atmospheric and dramatic, Gleniis!

Thank you all for your comments, very encouraging

I agree with everyone Glennis, wonderful atmospheric scene and lovely sky. well done

Glennis - I'm going to be the first to add a note of criticism.... which is what I'd want myself, so I only hope you do too...... I think the branches to the left of the main tree get a bit clumpy and indistinguishable, especially towards the bottom; and I think you might try moving the tree on the right slightly further into the picture, and maybe losing the one of the left altogether.

Robert I am always open to advice as I am not a natural landscape painter, so any help and hints that I get I will take willingly. I didn't like the left hand tree either but the picture seemed a little sparse without some interest on the left. Will have another look at it and see where it gets me - thank you.

Beautiful sunrise Glennis.

Glennis - I am just catching up with a few days of paintings I have missed, and saw this lovely one and just had to comment. The colours are super and the composition really works well. Please stay out of your comfort zone and do some more!

Julie thank you for your very encouraging remarks.

A BEAUTIFUL picture Glennis :)
