You have handled the stone buildings very well here. Perhaps the foreground could be a bit stronger toned? I used to go to an art group some years ago, a very good water colourist there would often remind me regularly, “bang the darks in Stephen”!

A lovely sense of place Gillian and the stone work is brilliant but I do agree with Stephen that a darker foreground would give your painting a great uplift.
