Very beautiful, love the insects Gill and the negative painting.

Absolutely beautiful, Gill - great centre of interest, lovely tones. Really superb

Lovely illustrative work Gill.

Full of life, lovely

It is really beautiful.

Beautifully painted Gill. You have achieved such delicate flowers and varied tones in the leaves. I am intrigued to know where in the world ladybirds are called bishy barny bees though?

What a lovely painting Gill and those ladybirds are a master touch! Like Julie I was intrigued by the Bishy Barney Bee title and on Googling it find it's a Norfolk dialect name for them, never heard it before!

Beautifully composed and executed, with a lovely palette.

Love the idea of Bishy Barney Bees and I shall call Ladybirds that from now on! This is a beautiful painting and the addition of the insects is perfect.

I agree with all that's been said Gill, it's a delight to behold.

This was created with a love of this beautiful wild rose, exploring the use of negative painting ... painted as a commission for a Christmas present.
