Nice pet portrait Gillian. Well painted with just a hint of the curtain tassel sketched in the background. I think you were right not to paint it in.

Agree with above comments, superb shape to the head in keeping with the breed, and you were right to concentrate on that area using feinter details in the other areas

Many thanks, everyone, for your kind comments. I enjoy painting animals, I must say. I've had a go with pastels and oil but find watercolour the best medium for this sort of thing.
