A lovely, subtle painting. I like the delicate yellow, mauves and greens, and the subtle links between the lace cloth, tray edge and pattern on the chair. It is certainly very peaceful.

Candle light commands all attention and makes us lay down all thoughts. It is a moment of the day to give a quiet attention for one's burdened mind.
