Lovely reminder of her balloon flight Gary. I daren't show this to my husband as he has had 4 cancelled flights because of the weather! It was his Christmas present last year. Your wife was lucky to get hers Gary.

what a lovely picture i have missed :-) i have just looked at your drawings/paintings i seem to have missed and i like them very much :-) i would never go in one, but you have drawn a lovely scene :-)

That would be me as well Gary, walking along on the ground with a camera, love to see hot air balloons, but could not go in one, not even a tethered one on Bournemouth sea front couple years back! But this is a really unusual subject for your coloured drawing Gary, lovely colours and greenery

Derwent Inktense and Artbar on watercolour paper 30x40cm. My wife had a balloon flight in the summer and I followed on the ground with the camera. This one was painted from a selection of photos taken near the end of the flight near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. The Artbars have been used for the leaves and the plants at the bottom and to add a bit of texture to the bark.
