Well done you have certainly captured this monolith and set it into an attractive seascape...Consider doing this as a portrait, on a grander scale, with say just a couple of posts to the right? I like it.

Good expression of colours. Sky and the beach are great. Good picture.

Lovely contrasting colours... I do not know this coast at all but it might tempt me to go and have a look at it.

Thank you for the kind comments, much appreciated.

I do admire the way your work with acrylic. It is such a versatile medium, and acts as watercolour, as easily as it acts as oilpaint. I use gallons of retarder whever I paint with acrylic, becasue I prefer to use them like oils. Of course the big plus is they are usually dry next day anyhow. Full marks on this one Gary. Happy painting. Regards John

I really like this...being in Western Australia I thought it was an Australian painting...I have also looked at the computer generated painting and I like both of them...each so different in mood...the colours of the computer generated painting are similar to those of the North West of Australia.

Lovely! Terrific sea colour, and you can hardly miss the rock. Iit looks like something that was set there by the Druids! You caught the play of light on the rock really well. Nice work on this one Gary. Regards John

Acrylic on canvas board, 16"x12". This may look like a bit of the Arizona Desert set against a British beach but if you know the North Norfolk coast line between Sherringham and Cromer you will know that this scene really does exist. This monolithic piece of rock was left after the rest of the cliff sucumbed to coastal erosion. In the evening light with a glorious sunset behind the viewer this rock is a fantastic sight which I have tried to capture.
