This is a very good pastel, wish I could get as much feeling into mine as you have here. I think I know the artist you refer to, he had an exhibition in Edinburgh just recently. Very colourful paintings in a different medium to this but still the lonely cottages surrounded by fields.

This is a study in pastel on pastel paper. It is in the style of anothert artist and what I was after was capturing the diagonal flow of the owrk and the looseness of the technique.
