ps. This is in the heather season so beautiful.

Beautiful contrasts between the details and texture Carole wonderful

Wasn't sure at first, but then for some reason I just had to keep looking at it.(it's one of those paintings) now I appreciate it and think it's fab! Well done Carole.

Now I wasn't sure if salt cellar referred to the structure or the method used to achieve the texture! Lovely composition and colour palette.

Superly painted Carole another lovely piece of work , well done.

Great mix of media Carole and in your expert hands this hits me and is difficult to look away

Beautiful, lovely colours

Almost a combination of abstract and realism, this is very attractive, Carole. Beautiful choice of colours, and great granulation.

Well, I love the contrasting styles. I like your method with the purple cascading, similar to your other ones.

Thank you very much for your interesting comments, I appreciate them.

A lovely composition and really well painted, as others have said, a work that keeps you coming back for more, well done.

Very kind comments thank you. Have had another fiddle at this I'm afraid, trying to connect the heathery ground more with the weathered gritstone.

The combination of soft granulated washes and the hardness of the stone structure works really well Carole.

A beautifully atmospheric piece, Carole.
