Watercolours are dreamy at times, and this image has a lovely dreamy feel to me. I dont see it as faded,more atmospheric. I think your love for the place has come through and it feels like something done from memory of the place rather than a photo real image. Super

Hi Carole, recognised this as a local landscape even as a thumbnail....i live in North Staffs but very near to the three shires border between Cheshire, Staffordshire & Derbyshire, this is very similar to the scenery i see regularly on my way through the Peaks to Buxton. Can be somewhat desolate landscape but when the light is right .. it is simply breathtaking. I like the high horizon you have used to increase the sense of size to the 'Edge'. I see 'Hen Cloud' almost daily but have never painted it , i might just have a go now having seen your rendition of Curbar....Steve

this is lovely Carole. I love the way the background is starting to fade into the mist and the tops of the rocks are beginning to disappear. lovely atmospheric painting.
