Smashing it takes me that long to decide where to start

Well, that's half the battle. You should be pleased with this. You have captured the hard branch and the delicate papery petals. I can even feel the sticky bud!

20 mins wow! beautiful sketch Carole, lovely controlled use of colours David Harrison

Love the colours in this Carole, especially the bottom pale pink flower against the really dark leaves.

Love every bit of it Carole. Terrific

lovely delicate piece and I love all the bleeds

Yea! Carole, Spring is in the air with this beautiful work!!!!

You are very generous thanks all :)

An exciting painting, full of interest, perhaps more so than a 'developed' piece!

Gorgeous washes and bleeds Carole...delicate and expressive.

Thanks so much particularly because I made it up so no planning on composition etc.

This is so beautiful Carole, you make me feel like giving up!

If only.....! Inspirational, well done Carole.

Wonderful watercolour, Carole, nice colours and great washes, much more than a sketch.

It's a lovely painting, Carole, planned or not! I love the darks towards the bottom of the painting leading up to the more delicate flowers above.

Being quick, gives it a looser fresh feel, without loads of detail. I would say this is inspired. A real lovely watercolor.

Painted beautifully, with such delicacy and wonderful lost and found edges. Superb, Carole!

Thank you building my confidence, I was thinking yesterday that I just couldn't paint ! That's why I slapped some paint on paper and hoped for the best. Thanks friends.

Really like this Carole, in places it even has a hint of Chinese type passages, love the contrasts between the heavy colour and the very light work, nice one.

Thank yo very much Sylvia and Malcolm.

An excellent "free" painting Carole, I especially like the colours in the leaves.

Beautiful delicate painting of one of my favourite flowers, Carole!

Watercolour and watercolour pencil. No inspiration whatsoever at the moment. Just putting brush to paper!
