That sky is sensational!!!

Very nicely done

I like the sheer scale and depth of it; the light may be a little too desaturated for immediate popular appeal? I like it, but then I'm a fan of Corot. I wonder if you've ever painted a picture you were happy with - I didn't, for decades! In more recent years, I have quite liked some of my smaller paintings; well, someone's got to....

Thank you for your comments! Wow, Robert, I also like Corot, didn’t know him, thank you. Love his trees and the cascade of terni. I am bit surprised you find it too desaturated, I think the opposite is my main defect and tell myself to work more the grays. Sometimes I do like my own paintings :)

I think the title is Ponte Nomentano not cascade of terni

You give me courage to use darks and bold complimentary color. Wonderful sweeping effect showing the power and awe of the sky. You've done the bottom foreground with subtlety. A beautiful painting. I'm going to try using paper towels.

Very impressive!

How can you not be happy with that?! Its wonderful

Oil on A3. I painted this long ago and didn't like it much so I've been playing with the colour trying new things, even trying using paper towels. Not very happy but I thought I'd post it anyways.
