Pine trees in Northampton by Federico Abascal

I think it's lovely and loose and, in my view, any looser would have been to the detriment of this painting

Superb painting.

I love the contrast of dark and light, I feel a bit hidden looking out

I wish I could - paint more loosely! But I agree with Heather, lovely as it is. The title made me smile…I remember “ Tall trees in Georgia “, a great song sung by the late Eva Cassidy.

I love the colours, bright sky and yellow trees. Beautifully painted!

Your paintings keep getting better and better. This is an absolute beauty. I like the contrast of the darks and lights, the pine trees against the deciduous. Yes, Marjorie, it does remind me of that great song sung by Eva Cassidy.

Thank you very much for your uplifting comments. I’ll listen to that song :)

Oil on A4. I always enjoy painting pine trees and I liked the contrast here. This was an Autumn scene but pine trees don't tell seasons too well. I'd love to be able to paint more loosely
