Skylark, Wharfedale by Emma Price

This lovely bird managed to give me a good scold even with her mouth full - though I was on a public footpath! She’s clearly got chicks in the long grass; sadly the lowland hay meadows are now cut earlier and nestlings can’t escape the mowers. This one up on the moors will hopefully be OK. Watercolour 6x5".
