Beautifully painted Emma, not only the birds but also the spring buds bursting forth! We had a male Brambling call in to the feeder for a few days earlier this year……gorgeous birds……they make you look twice when they are mixed in with the Chaffinch.

The brambling is a very rare visitor to our garden; he was probably on his way back to Scandinavia but, with the wind being in the wrong direction, stopped here for a few days. A really gorgeous bird and, being bigger, gave the chaffinches something to think about. Watercolour on Bockingford CP. 14x10"
