A vicious monster from Greek mythology, the Nemean Lion’s fur repelled attack by any mortal weapon and its claws were as sharp as swords, able to cut through mortal armour. The lion was eventually killed by Hercules after it was sent to terrorise an ancient city. Hercules created a coat from its pelt, making himself a set of invincible armour.
