Do you remember, as I do, the huge flocks of these birds that used to soar over gardens, farmland, just about everywhere? We took them for granted - and now, these beautiful birds are so much more rare. Perhaps we'll appreciate them more, but I am left with a huge sense of loss.

Lovely watercolour, Elizabeth. We get starlings visiting our garden just about every day at the moment - they love splashing around in the bird bath, and I'm constantly having to top it up after them!
