When I first saw this in the gallery I wondered what was going on in his head, he looked lost. Then when I opened it and read your thinking behind the painting I understood. How well you have painted the story of your thoughts.

He is proud, grand, uncompromising. He knows his worth, he does not need assistants. He always wins and does not accept defeat as the final outcome. Не’s used to achieve results at any cost. Such people are indispensable on the battlefield, but in ordinary life very often, they are lost. Love passes by their homes. We see in the corners of his eyes, that secret sorrow is gnawing at him. And so the portrait of this king of Chess has a hidden meaning . About this I was thinking when I was creating this artwork. I work with oil colors on canvas. I use palette knives and brushes.
