A lovely piece. I like the lines which make the painting looks like stained glass and the free ebb and flow of the washes.

I agree a lovely painting, the addition of the lines works really well.

Ditto all the above....and I'm a fan of black lining, it adds great definition as you say. Lovely.

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments. I think the idea of this '30 minute challenge' is great for 'loosening up' - I am usually too cautious and finicky! Must admit these comments do help to spur you on. Thanks again.

The colours work really well together. I love the loose style, with the definition picked out afterwards in black liner. Have tried this myself but can't seem to get that spontaneity.

I like the intense colour towards the top of the painting, and where you've slightly gone over the edges a little lower down - I like that too.

I have looked at this painting several times and am fascinated by the loose use of colour combined with the structured lines. Wonderful result.
