You have got some guts to paint such an iconic face" However, having said that - I think you have done an amazing job, catching Her Majesty's expression perfectly. It also portrays her the age she is rather than those somewhat flattering portraits done by 'famous' artists. Super work.

I think this is a very good portrait ,well done for painting the Queen AND painting it so well. Im sure you must be very pleased. I especialy like the way the necklace hangs around her neck perfectly, quite hard to get right.

There are so many portraits of the Queen by people who mean well but never having had her sit for them make, frankly, a horrible mess of it. This is not one of those - I'm tolerably confident that HM hasn't sat for you, if only because I think you'd have told us if she had, but she really might as well have done: this is a fine portrait - startlingly good, in fact and, as Thea notes, you've not flattered: and the painting is all the better for it.

Thank you all for your comments. Robert you're right!, It was painted from a photograph found over the Internet, which had a poor quality but somehow it come out well and I'm grateful for that
