What a lovely portrait Eddie. Your friend looks a great character . It is also interesting seeing a portrait and a landscape together .

Thank you Sylvia. Yes, he is a character and we have a life-long friendship. This is a very personal painting and is the first time that I have 'shown' it to a wider audience since I painted it in 2014. The landscape is very much part of what I do, I relate to the landscape on many levels, it is in our fabric ie, I feel that this place has heard all our conversations, the ups and downs. We have been there throughout all seasons and weather and that was the sense of place that i wanted in the painting.

We have met at Devils Point, on the foreshore of Plymouth for many years on a weekly basis.
