It a experiment that had worked out really well. It is a beautiful painting of a everyday scene to which you have added a bit of magic, it really is a top notch painting . You should consider doing more in this style , your good painting them.

I took a photo of the setting sun over the fence looking across my neighbours garden, which I used as a starting point for this painting. This piece is quite experimental though, in terms of use of colour and mark making.
