A lovely painting Dympna. The softness of the textures in the grasses, water and background contrast really well with the silver birch trunks.

A very serene, restful painting: I could do with that on my wall, to gaze upon in moments of stress (becoming fewer, happily, since I finally retired from voluntary office work at the age of 71: I'll recommend it to my successors! - the painting, and retirement).

Oil on canvas - 46cm x 61cm. Painted in studio from one of my photos taken last summer on a walk by the Swan River in Guildford. Afterwards lunch in the old Post Office Guildford. Western Australia.
