Heathcote on Swan River WA
Oil on canvas, 71cm x 97cm. Palette knife only. Brush only used for some twigs and thin branches. Feel more spontaneous and loose using the palette knife. It has helped me to loosen up using the brush as I am trying to be more expressive in my paintings. This view is of one of my favourite walks along the Swan River near South Perth Yacht Club. Studio work from my own photo reference. I have watched dolphins from this location and there are always black swans.
