You have painted a super chicken Dylan, it's quite surprising how many things have such a variety of colours within them, makes you look more closely!

And it shows! Amazing colour missing and mix of textures whether it be the feathers, the crop, beak or etc. Love it (and the placing on the canvas too).

Thank you, Margaret and Heather. I have just been told by the owner of the chicken that she is called Mary. 🙂

She's a truly beautiful chukie!

Mary is a beauty. Her feathers really have a superb sheen and the colours within them define the plumage

Thank you, Diana, she really is beautiful, in real life too. And she is absolutely lovely and races down the garden as fast as her legs will carry her to greet me when I pop in to let the dogs into the garden. ❤️

Who knew that a chicken portrait would contain so many colours. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this bird.
