Wine bottle still life study in oils

This is what I like doing, really studying an object and all its nuances…it’s absorbing, takes time but is very satisfying - this is where small studies and daily paintings are very valuable re when you go on to the larger piece of work.

You're on a roll today David, this is also a glorious still life. I love the depth of green you've achieved, the lights and darks ... just everything!
