I agree - I keep nearly all my failures, other than those that are just embarrassing, and have rescued a good many after putting them away out of sight for some time. Digging them out again allows one to see them anew, and sometimes the error just leaps out at you and can be put right. I did paint over a picture I did a while ago of Fawley oil refinery (and have removed it from the gallery): nothing could have saved that .... short of an opaque coat of gesso. It's still on my blog at www.wightpaint.blogspot.com, if anyone REALLY wants to see it; I keep it there as a penance. Will you work this up further? Looks promising.

It will only get the minimum of work now, I quite like the feel of it

This started as a study of a model that I felt was not particularly a success, and it languished in a drawer for about a year. Looking for something to occupy myself for a morning I came across it and painted it up from imagination. I am now quite pleased with it even though it is not yet finished. It goes to show, keep your failiures and one day you may rescue them!
