Simply a really good painting! An unusual composition but it works. I think I could just tap Chrissy on her shoulder because the figure is so well painted.

I love the composition of this - I know it breaks the rules - subject looking out of the picture - but it really works and I am fascinated by it - great picture.

Thanks to all, yes part of the idea was to break a few rules, the shelf dividing the picture in half, Chrissy looking out of the picture, and the vertical going right through her head, although I may repaint to Boticelli postcard, it looks too dominant.
