Sunset over Hilbre by Dennis Spicer

I like these quick paintings, that just catch the moment; there's always something of a contradiction in taking hours or days to paint a scene that will have come and gone in 10 minutes at most. Even so: I'd be interested to see you work up some of these into larger work - are you familiar with the work of the Scots artist Ken Bushe? Think you might be interested in his site, www.kenbushe.co.uk. I'm inspired to have a go at this approach myself, though - if I can find the self-discipline to stop!
