Lovely composition Bob - nice muted colours. I have a bit of difficulty with perspective at times also and looking at this I think that the top of the right-hand window is a little higher than the other. The smooching couple are a little too small or it just could be that the drinker in the foreground is too big because there is too much height difference between them considering they are only a short distance apart. I particularly like that reflection of the light in the top of window. I wish I had been able to paint like this after 6 months.

I love it, it certainly tells a story brilliant,

Thanks Adele and Jenny. This was a really tough exercise for me. It was a case of a vision in my head turning into a nightmare !! I think there are some good points about this painting and obvious bad points, but I've learned a lot from it so I don't feel it's such a disaster, and I do like the story and pleased that comes through.

Think you should be really proud of this Bob.

Adele, I am really !! Paintings to me are like kids. You give birth to them and nurture them along and sometimes they go a bit wayward, but you still love 'em!

All as Adele says about the figures I echo, but perseverence will get you over the perpective issue.

Thanks, Derek! It's always good to have your support! I might just have to give it one more shot !!!

Had another bash at this one to make it lighter and added the kissing couple. And again, having perspective issues.
