Well done, a great likeness. I too have enjoyed a lesson from Vermeer of '' The Girl...'' my attempt I will share at some point.

Very nice job Bob. What I really like about it is you have got the tones and colours looking really good and your drawing skills are also excellent. A great effort.

I saw it and almost did the slating thingy. But you have “done her good.” . As you say probably one of the most copied pics, she is rather beautiful.. I’ve done it as well but used my little dog as the model. Great.

Thanks, Chris and Sylvia. Yes, I could almost hear you in my head as I was painting it, Sylvia. 😂 In my defence, it was purely a learning exercise. I really do appreciate his subtleness of tone and mastery of perspective now. Also in my defence, Vanessa Bell used to own a Picasso but she had to sell it so she copied it so that she could continue to enjoy it. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment x
