Lovely and delicate painting, nice composition

It is not an easy flower to paint Amanda. I have never tried!!!! I think that you should be happy with it. May be you could have used a bit of Cobalt blue as a shadow on the petal and put a few streaks of yellow into the leaves. It is only a suggestion.

Love the background leaves and you have the little bells facing in different directions, lovely.

Very pretty painting. Not an easy flower to portray so you have done a really good job in this painting in capturing the essence of the flower.

I've been looking at these last week in Scotland with envy because somehow mine all died or got dug up. I think the flowers themselves are really lovely, not easy when they are quite a "regimented" flower but perhaps a more faded misty background would have worked better with just a hint of leaves. Easier said than done by me who utterly ruins flower paintings with their backgrounds.

I'm overwhelmed with such positive comments. Considering i was thinking of not bothering uploading anymore until I had improved to somewhere near the current level of ability I see displayed so often. :) Thank you all.
