Comments

West leads K clubs, here’s how South does it:

1. South wins trick 1 in his own hand with Ace of clubs, discarding 7 of diamonds from dummy.

2. South plays 6 of hearts from hand to win in dummy with Jack of hearts.

3. South plays 7 of spades from dummy, trumping with 7 of hearts in his own hand.

4. South leads 8 of hearts from hand to win with Queen of hearts in dummy.

5. South leads Queen of spades from dummy, trumping with 9 of hearts in his hand

6. South leads 10 of hearts from hand, winning with King of hearts in dummy.

7. South leads Ace of hearts from dummy and discards the King of diamonds from hand.

8. South leads Ace of spades from dummy, discarding Ace of diamonds from hand.

9. Finally South runs down the Queen, Jack, 10, 9 and 8 of diamonds (all winners) from dummy!

His opponents gasp but secretly think “what a chancer!!”.

What accuracy! In drawing and playing.
