Hi Heather, Andrew, Martin, Diane and Spencer. I liked this authentic non touristy area. And the good manners and pleasant stance of the local people. I felt at home in a natural functioning place bereft of any grandeur. Earthy and wholesome too. Perhaps, the image conveys something of the gentle buzz.

An A5 size drawing from life of a Dordogne village. The wriggly linear patterns of the foliage contrast with the linear lines of the buildings and foreground flowers. A gentle colour palette of greens, yellows . blues, greys and orange. Pen and Indian ink and colour pencils.
