I like the idea...it's simple... loose brush strokes give great texture to the whole image but the dark diagonal is a pity. It's crude and kills the overall effect of a well painted still life. Raw umber light or just raw umber would have been kinder...that's my humble opinion....

I do not agree with Rogers comment about the dark diagonal. I like the image as a whole and I think it works well.
