Not surprised this sunny scene sells well Dermot, I think the gouache gives it a greater punch than watercolour. Must dig mine out sometime.

I love acrylics also, and this is a little beauty Dermot.

Two things I avoid painting: people on bicycles, and people on horses - but you've inspired me to have a crack at the second, if not yet the first; I have drawn them, but painting them seemed like a challenge too far (I know I shouldn't admit to this; but I'm not the only artist who has avoided certain subjects, it's just that most aren't daft enough to admit to it). Love the colour in this - gouache is a great medium, which many painters have never tried, perhaps remembering the days when you couldn't trust its lightfastness. Now you can get trustworthy colours, more should try it - maybe you'll encourage people to have a go.
