Lovely stillness about this one Dermot, good depth too with the strong foreground tones contrasted with the light wet in wet background, works well.

Dermot, this is a class watercolour. Congrats on a superb piece of work. It can be extremely difficult to keep such a large and varied wet into wet passage under such control. You made it look effortless. Great depth and sunlight glow created in this and plenty of foreground contrast with stronger tones and subtle hard edges.... Keep the brush wet!

I painted this last month and I've always liked it as it was one of those that was done mainly wet in wet , the one thing that bothered me was my birds in flight did not stand out enough ,after talking yesterday afternoon with fellow artist Roland Byrne here in Dublin he suggested what I knew was the right choice darken those trees slightly on the left , I'm happy now my birds are finally given there deserved spotlight :)
