Ha ha, yes there are one or two as I recall, lovely rendition and some stunning figures which we are looking down on, never easy.

A very well worked piece Dermot where we have almost as many figures as birds

Well painted Dermot, your "playing around" has produced a very attractive image. Lots of interesting figures to look at too.

The whole painting is stunning. I'm intrigued to find out whether your main painting turned out as well as this did Dermot?

This is great Dermot, the figures are depicted brilliantly. There's a whole series of backlit figures in different locations waiting to be painted surely?

Beautiful. Where were you ? Under the horses on St Marks?

Beautifully simplistic and lovely colours Dermot.

Great viewpoint Dermot, I love the figures and shadows (and the birds are super too).

Skilled practise work here Dermot and very useful

Very original viewpoint of this famous square.

You've amused everyone else too Dermot - great! I once saved a pigeon here which was drowning in one of the fountains!

Thank you very much everyone

When I'm waiting for washes to dry I amuse myself by playing with colour as I love to paint backlit figures and vary the colours in the figures and the shadows , this is based very loosely on st Marks square in Venice where it's rumoured there are one or two pigeons knocking about :)
