Great combination of colours, Derek, and like the way you've applied the paint with some areas left white, gives it a nice fresh feel.

Childe Hassam was the painter I copied most when I started art lessons. He had such vibrant brushwork and palette, and you've really captured a lot of the essence of his style in your piece, Derek, while still making this work your own. Well done!

14 x 12cms on 300 rough sample. I fancied a textured ground and small, so this is my take on a USA painter I'd never heard of but glad I found him via WC. Cards as usual.
